Where would i go if i wanted 2 go check a law 2 make sure its legit and real and not an urban myth?

i'm makin a documentary on ridcious laws and i wanna make sure the laws r true and not urban myth where would i go at a library the books can let you know if it is a myth are legit are if it is very real and not fake so good luck on your search :)las08

Most states have their laws online - try Googling '[state] statutes' for more information on a specific state. Local laws are harder to track down because most of them are not online; your local law library might be able to help, but many charge a fee if you're not an attorney or student.
