Who is quoted with "The calm before the storm"?

Actually anbody famous who said it would be alright. I first heard it froom a hockey player, I just cant remember who. According to NASA's website at the following link, the expression was first noted in 1576, but whoever said it wasn't recorded:

Actually, it's not so much a quotation but rather just a common expression --about on the order of "Hmm. Looks like it might rain."

Nobody knows who said either one of those things first. Not necessarily anyone famous ... but probably everyone famous has said both those things at sometime or other.

One person I guess could have said both of them might have have been Noah, in the Bible.
